My valentines day was nothing spectacular, it never really is. So i just decided to go with a touch of pink vs the normal romantics. I put it down to the vicinity i live from any date worth locations and particular life changes. However my gorgeous best friend did stop by and drop me off a cute package which included some chocolate peanut butter balls, this is the shortcut to my heart (Just in case you are wondering).. it is always the best surprise when someone really knows you better than you know yourself!

Back to the outfit, i had never really been much into slouchy pants with elastic ankles, however when i tried these black and white beauties i was sold. I still would only wear a slouchy pant with elastic ankles with some form of heel, as i feel that it creates a better different look to a flat. These pants are a fabulous cut and fabric, however i really wish i only got an 18, however due to my rather love able thighs, i had to up to a 20 to get a loose look. This did make the pants a little larger around the hips than i would have liked, meaning i do have to keep them up fairly high on the waist in order to avoid any awkwardness.

I am not sure about you ladies but i certainly am already looking forward to the cooler months. This Melbourne summer has just thrown my wardrobe and mental state into chaos. Regularly changing from 40 degrees to mere 20 degrees in two days really is not friendly in any way.

What i like most about the cooler weather is the ability to get back to my Sunday night ritual of weekly outfit planning. Consistent weather allows this, however our recent weather does not.

Happy belated Valentines Day to all you cute lovers x

  2. Beautiful Ash. I have these pants and agree completely on sizing and I don't even really have thighs to speak of. I'm looking forward to winter too, but around here, it won't arrive until July and be gone soon after. ;)

  4. Gorgeous! I tried those pants on recently and I'm hoping they go on sale so I can snap them up. I'm not a pants wearer AT ALL, but I really loved them!
