Outfit details:
1. Shirt - Katies 2. Jeans- Bellecurve
3. Shoes - $2 from Factory (I brought these prior to going so I could leave them over there as not to weigh down my suitcase!)

So as you can see I had a little bit of a tourist day on my second day in New York. I had this day planned thoroughly as knowing my minimal time I really wanted to ensure that I could see everything that I wanted. I had everything right down to directions plotted out as I was determined not to use a taxi and I certainly didn't! I walked nearly 20km!

So my plan pretty much started as a pre-booked ticket to "Top of the Rock" at the Rockefeller centre. I pre-booked mainly because I wanted the 8.05am ticket and I wasn't sure I would be motivated enough to get out of bed at that time. From there I walked down 5th ave to the New York Public library, I sware I had to ask about 5 tourists to take my photograph at this point, I don't know what it is but no one could take a non blurry shot! I felt too rude asking them to re-take it so just waited for the next tourist! Then I walked down to Central Station and stopped for a slice of New York cheesecake, now I googled this and I think the "Juniors" slice was rated the highest in New York, I can completely understand why! It was amazing!

I then headed down to central park where I get purposely lost and ended up crossing and looping the entire island, but it was fabulous! I was lost for about 2 hours so when I got to central park I treated myself to some fairy floss (can you tell I survived this day on sugar alone) and a smoothie. After sitting in the park and reading for an hour or so I headed to Times Square and of course, finished the day off with some shopping! I really liked my little day trip as I feel I got a great perspective of New York in just 7 hours. I would have liked to fit in the Museum of Natural History but its ok as now I have something new to still look forward to next year (Yes you read that write im in the midst of planning a 4 week trip, but this time my man is coming with me!)

What is your favourite part of New York?
